Community Excellence Awards Given to Local Businesses

Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. recently awarded two Community Excellence Awards to local companies who have made significant contributions to further our mission.  DocuSource of NC and Oxford University Press both provide production work that is used within our organization to provide vocational skills to individuals with disabilities or who face similar barriers to employment. 

DocuSource of NC contracts with Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. by providing projects that need collation or assembly.  

The individuals we serve benefit from working on these projects by gaining improved organizational skills, hand-eye coordination, and increased productivity.  Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. has provided outsourcing services to DocuSource of NC for the past four years.

Oxford University Press has granted production jobs to Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. for more than a decade.  By supplying books that need labeling or packaging, Oxford University Press allows individuals to gain valuable experience by learning to use shrink-wrap machines and conveyor belts as well as increasing attention to detail and math skills.

With all production work, the individuals Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. serve gain skills and experience that will help them to transition to a job in the community.  It is only through collaboration with community leaders such as DocuSource of NC and Oxford University Press that we can successfully assist those who need us most.
