Evaluation

What is the best job for me?

Deciding the type of job to pursue isn't easy for everyone. A Vocational Evaluation can identify the types of jobs as well as the training and education best suited to an individual's abilities and interests. Community Workforce Solutions, Inc. employs a Certified Vocational Evaluator at our Raleigh location who conducts a thorough evaluation and sets specific goals for each individual.

An evaluation will be designed based on your needs and could include any one or a combination of the following:

  • Standardized testing - testing that offers paper and pencil assessments, hands-on interest assessments, and an assessment of current skills and aptitudes. No one passes or fails. Results are combined with other information such as observation and work history to form suggestions and recommendations.
  • Situational Assessment - most often conducted at the agency site, situational assessment involves working on production or other types of jobs to gain insight into the type of worker you are, your physical abilities and other behaviors that are important to all types of jobs.
  • Simulated work - offers an opportunity to simulate a specific job or task to determine interest and/or ability in a specific area.
